At first, learning a foreign language may seem like an unclimbable mountain and a
doing-something-to-spent-time kind of experience. But is it? For many, another language
seems so distant and so unknown that it may easily make us feel vulnerable, stupid,
ignorant or even worst, inadequate. Well, this statement is purely an individual
belief system that is illusory, man-made, fear-based and more so, limiting! Of course,
part of the result is achieved by researches, focus, repetitions, discipline, commitment,
consistency and applications. However, the determinant factor to successfully speak
another language is not the process. It is the intention that first created the will
to learn. Allowing ourself to expand our own little Universe to meet another universe
by simply understanding another culture creates an unbelievable level of humility
within our self. This is the beginning of true tolerance and non-judgement. This
is the beginning of a peace process. Opening your heart and mind to another seemingly
alien is the first step to demonstrate pure intention, respect, courtesy, love and
esteem. Showing esteem out is the expression of knowing esteem in (self-esteem).
